Far Grange near Skipsea, East Yorkshire is a haven for fishing enthusiasts. Fully stocked with coarse fish, both our lakes guarantee a phenomenal fishing experience.
Our 1 acre lake, located in Far Grange, is predominantly used as a stocking lake for the larger 6 ½ acre lake. This smaller lake has been wonderfully landscaped into the surroundings of the Park.
The largest fishing lake at Far Grange is located on The Lakes Lodge development and covers a large 6 ½ acres. It offers good bankside fishing features and these are the best places to fish first and last thing. Making up the trio of best fish available in this lake are an abundance of various types of Carp, a good head of Chubb and Bream.
The average weight recorded for these fish are as follows:
- Carp - approximately 5lb
- Chubb - approximately 4lb
- Bream – approximately 1.5lb
Both our fishing lakes stock Carp, Chubb and Bream. You will also find Roach, Perch, Tench and Hi brids in the 1 to 2lb range. On occasion, you may find Eel, Ghost Carp and Rudd.
Our lakes offer good all-round access, making them suitable for disabled anglers. Fishing is available from 6am to 8pm with barbless hooks only. Night fishing is not permitted at Far Grange.
Our larger lake serves as an idyllic setting for competitions held for the Angling Club every Saturday. Youngsters can enjoy weekly ‘Pond Dipping’ sessions, or try their hand at fishing in our Junior Fishing Matches.
The largest fish caught to date is a whopping 30lb!
